Camping Safety Checklist
Camping safety is an important concern. Make sure you tell someone about your trip and provide complete details of where you are going and when you expect to return. Give them your cell phone number and good directions, along with your vehicle description and license plate number. First aid is so important that I made a separate list of items to include in your camping first aid kit.

- Insect repellent
- Water treatment purifiers
- Personal prescribed medication
- Aspirin
- Life jacket
- Whistle
- Flares
- Gps or compass
- Flashlight
- Extra batteries
- Area Map

Camping Checklist Additions
If you are going camping as a group outing, in addition to this list of equipment or stuff to bring you should also consider including the follow:
- A special part for listing things that you must get done before leaving, such as applying for permits, putting your mail on hold at the post office, and scheduling your bill payments.
- A list of things NOT to bring on the camping trip.
- Some information about the area and wildlife that you can expect to see on the hiking trails.
- Recipes for delicious dishes that you can make and a shopping list of food to bring
We really hope that this checklist is useful for you in having the camping trip of a lifetime!
